Drying out

Here are some pictures of our basement drying out. This is pretty much what it looks like now, minus all the big green dehumidifiers. Someone is stopping by today to tell us how much it will be to replace our carpet…scary, but I will be glad to have some new non-water stained carpet.

- We lost a lot of our baseboards. This is the wall opposite to where the leak began.

- Same wall…luckily the drywall here is okay

- Where it all started. Most of the baseboards in this room are gone, and some drywall too.

- Looking into the carpeted area, you can see the carpet rolled back and padding removed in the background

- The room where the leak began, we will have to repaint the concrete.

- The culprit…..ahhhh…we think perhaps a poor plumbing repair lead to our disaster
